Training the personnel required for Harmony involves tasks of multiple dimensions. Training for technical perfection, communication skills, hygiene and etiquette, physical fitness, hospitality and management skills, overall personality development etc has become a mandatory at Harmony, with its exclusive Masseurs Training Program, a one-year specialized course that aims at building qualified and trained personnel to impart authentic ayurvedic experience to its customers.
The course includes extensive theoretical and practical sessions on human anatomy, human physiology, basic pharmacology (details of drugs, ointments, oils etc), ayurveda, vital points in human body (marma), basic techniques in massaging, poorva (pre) karma, pradhana (main) karma and paschat (post) karma of the panchakarma techniques in detail and the drugs and dietary preparations indicated during these therapies.
Strong mind and body are a pre-requisite for a Therapist. The training program would give special emphasis to yoga and exercises that promote general health and stamina, following a regulated diet and routine.
The cleanliness of mind and body become one of the most important elements constituting “Harmony”. The personnel at Harmony are trained to be well groomed focusing on physical appearance and poise, the importance of smile and courtesy, establishing eye contact, handshake/namaste, dress code for each occasion (Harmony Uniforms, Panchakarma Uniforms, Yoga Uniforms, Traditional Kerala Attire etc), among others.
